2013 Heather Pinot Noir
Our inaugural vintage of Pinot
Deep ruby in color. The nose reveals layers of darker fruits and spice; black raspberry, dark cherries along side soy and tarragon. There is also a lighter side with orange peel and rose petal. In the mouth, the wine is dark, but not heavy, layered juicy red and darker fruits; raspberry and sour cherry. There is a generous broad palate with uplifting acidity to finish revealing cherry and rhubarb.
This wine is the blend of three separate vineyards; Widdoes, Gunsalus, Greywacke and five clones of pinot noir; old vine Martini, 114, 115, Calera and Pommard. Each vineyard was fermented separately on it's native yeasts and then blended together in tank before going to barrel. 100% neutral french oak barrels were used to age the wine for approximately 14 mo.'s before bottling unfiltered and unfined.

Fragrant with blackberry and black cherry that has a touch of cola, sage, and pepper. A not too delicate style with a medium to long finish. Drink now.
