This remote, steep vineyard, on the side of Black Mountain, produces Syrah with a wild side.

Located in the cooler western side of Russian River Valley, this vineyard is high up on the western side of Black Mountain and hidden from view by an old growth redwood forest. The vineyard was originally planted in the early 90’s on a very steep site, promoting lower yields and powerful, complex fruit. The remote and rugged nature of the vineyard brings forth the wilder side of Syrah; dark fruit, earth, meat and pepper.
