2018 Aida Viognier
There is an intensity and freshness in the aroma with floral notes of orange blossom and jasmine. Juicy apricot, peach and tangerine are complemented by a characteristic oiliness on the mid-palate and a crisp finish of salivating acidity.
Gregori Vineyard is planted in the heart of Green Valley, Russian River. This cooler area of Russian River allows the fruit to maintain a fresh acidity, while the famous Goldridge soil promotes excellent drainage and concentration of fruit.
The vineyard was harvested during the beginning of September and was pressed to neutral barrels where fermentation took place over the following 11 days. The wine was aged for 6 months in neutral French oak barrels with regular stirring of the lees, and filtered before bottling.
Food Pairing Notes
Light, flavorful dishes such as an arugula salad with herb-crusted goat cheese and vinaigrette, and Macadamia chicken with an orange-ginger sauce.

This well done viognier has a wonderful bouquet finished by a crisp and bright acidity that pulls all the flavors together. One of my favorites.
