Every year we get our wine club members to come and sample blends that our winemaker has crafted. Everyone votes for their favorite blend and after the votes are tallied, the winning blend gets bottled as the Drouthy Neebors Syrah.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
An intriguing blend from our single vineyard Syrahs. The nose reveals black currants and blackberries and has a sweeter spice characteristic with Sage and Bayleaf. Smoky bacon notes along with black peppercorns and truffle round out the savory side. The mouth feel is enveloping revealing beautiful fresh blackcurrants a little bacon and leather and a darker cacao finish.
Production Notes
The winning blend was made in tank in April 2014 and was aged in neutral oak until it was bottled in December of 2014.
Winemaker Notes
The 2013 Drouthy Neebors blend is comprised of 29% of Samantha's, 29% of Moaveni and 42% of Atoosa's. Combining the fruit profile from Samantha's, the savory herbaceous notes from Atoosa's and the depth from Moaveni, no wonder this was the club members favorite.
Food Pairing Notes
Our Drouthy Neebors blend has a nice gaminess to it. It is fun to play with food pairings around this and the earthiness. A few of our favorites are duck confit, especially at The Girl and The Fig in Sonoma. Wild mushroom risotto is another fantastic pairing using the mushrooms to compliment the forest floor notes in the wine.
