2009 Judge Family Vineyard

The Judge Family vineyard is situated on Grange Road in the South western corner of Bennett valley.  2009 was a warmer vintage, but we still harvested late in October.  Gorgeous minerality in this wine makes it perfect for pairing with wild mushrooms.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Ruby red, purple. An intriguing elegant nose of blackcurrant and strawberry fruit layered with Cola spice and a background of Mushroom and forest floor with a hint of tasted vanilla. Well balanced tannins and youthful acidity give the palate a lovely structure and long building finish. In its youth, this wine will benefit from decanting to allow the aromatics to open and expand the mid palate. The wine will also be good for cellaring for up to 12 – 15 years.
